Insurance Market Solutions Group was formed in 2009 by Rob and Kim Clark. The goal was to build a managing general agency that would serve entrepreneurial independent insurance agents. Our model is successful because we partner with the right carriers to meet the needs of both new and established independent agents who value owning and controlling their own business. Rob Clark, CPCU
Rob Clark has enjoyed over 20 years of experience in the insurance business. A graduate of the University of North Carolina and CPCU since 2000, Rob began his career with Integon Insurance that was later acquired by General Motors. After starting in the claims division and building expertise in that area, he moved into marketing and was responsible for growing Integon’s business in six states. After 10 years with Integon, he accepted a position with MetLife Auto and Home as the South Texas Marketing Manager. Rob developed the region by marketing standard auto and home products, achieving a 100% increase in written premium during his tenure. It was during this time that Rob developed many of the relationships with independent agents that he still has today. Following eight years with a Houston-based Managing General Agency, Rob was ready for a new challenge. With his proven track record and the strong relationships he has built throughout his career, he decided to start Insurance Market Solutions Group to provide quality markets to independent agents. Rob focuses on sales and is always looking for opportunities to fill the needs of independent agents.
Kim Clark
Prior to partnering with Rob to form Insurance Market Solutions Group, Kim Clark was Chief Financial Officer for Merrill Lynch Global Commodities. She was responsible for the finance and accounting organization with offices in the US, Europe and Asia. Kim also served on several Steering Committees and was a member of the executive leadership team that set strategy for the business. Kim received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University and earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston. After her 15 year career in the energy industry, Kim was ready for the challenge of building a new business. Kim works closely with new agents as they begin working with IMSG and has established a standard for providing excellent customer service. She also works with our carrier partners to meet their needs.
